Neopets Freezing Update

So I recieved 1 more email saying pretty much the same thing from Charlotte and after a week without another reply it prompted me to send another email to neopets through their own system here is the reply I got from them. Warning it will look familiar to the other response.
Thanks for writing in.
Your account has been frozen for attempting to, or actually buying or selling neopoints.
As it clearly states in the first lines of the Terms and Conditions (http://www.neopets.com/terms.phtml):
“The accounts, activities, items, neopoints, characters, locations, faeries, games and pets are for you to play with while on the site. Except as permitted by the functionality of this site, you can’t sell them (for money or Neopoints), give them to anyone, trade them for anything (including Neopoints), or pretend you made them.”
By purchasing neopoints, people wind up supporting scammers (who are responsible for the vast majority of attempted sales). The neopoints purchased then wind up being from any number of children’s stolen accounts.
This is why we do not return any accounts frozen for purchasing or selling neopoints.
Crossroads

So I have been struggling on what I want for my blog these last few months. Do I want to run it to be about gaming, or maybe something a little more personal? What kind of feeling do I want to get when I write a post. Do I want it to vent out my frustrations or hold a place for people to come and share. All these different things are running through my head and I still can’t decide what I want for my blog.
Even with all these questions I have had I do know a few things. I want passion, not just from me but my readers also. I want it to be more “real” without that feeling like I am just reading something is already on 50 other blogs. I want a place where my readers can feel comfortable and relaxed. Because who needs the added stress of the internet when all you want to do after a hard day of work, dealing with people, kids, ect. is relax and enjoy the downtime.
Ambitious? Yes! But I want to make this a reality and hope to sooner rather then later. I will also be downgrading how much time I spend in video games. Anyone who knows me will agree I spend an unhealthy amount of times gaming and I don’t know maybe I am finally growing up a little but I have many real life experience to enjoy.
For now until I decide I will still be posting here just not on a regular basis yet.
Neopets Freezing

So this Sunday as was enjoying myself playing a round of Key Quest on Neopets. When all of a sudden it stops working! When I go to relogin it says I have been frozen because of neopoint buying and selling which I have never done.
So I contact CS through email and this is what I get as a reply, now remember I know the reason they froze me and I wanted an explanation.
Thanks for writing in.

Charlotte

Well thank you Charlotte for now I know that you obviously can not seem to understand the english language for I know why I have been unjustly frozen. I quickly sent a reply asking for the proof and that I would like to clear this up ASAP.
Charlotte seems to like to take her time with things seeing that it took a good 3 days before the 1st reply and who knows how long the next one will go for.
I also purchased neopets premium so any common sense would say they should look into the matter a little closer before just freezing somone. I will be sure to keep everyone updated on Charlotte and what happens next.
P.S. I have been a member of neopets for close to 7 years and this is a first.
Neopets Whaaaaaa!

So anyone who has XBL will remember that at the end of the month of September Xbox Live was down for the full day, and I just had happened to have the day off. I also had nothing to do and I mean nothing so being bored and with this case of ADD I like to say I have I went on something I haven’t touched for over 3 years, Neopets.
It’s amazing the changes the site has undergone and I am actually enjoying my time hanging out with other “adult” Neopet users.
You can run a shop, play games, create pets, shop, make a gallery, build your neohome, and join in many of the daily freebies in hopes of getting something truly rare.
So if you think you might want to play I am majin_goku_x on there! I added a link to the side of my page if you want to check it out. I could also use the referrals!
VGRage

VGRage is what I like to callĀ video game rage, and you have probably heard it over XBL countless times. Yes, thanks to the amount of Italian in me I sometimes have a rage problem. Although most of the time I can control it, Naruto for the 360 somehow managed to push me just far enough to send 2 of my controllers crashing through my room.
Now I have purchased a torx screwdriver to fix them up, and at least I will come away with 2 fixed controllers, luckily I know electronics. Anyways just thought I would share with you, and warn you that 360 controllers do not hold up like the Sega ones used to.
Controllers-0
Rage-3
Although I am not nearly as close as this guy, I find this quite entertaining.
Checking Back

I have been pretty busy lately, with work, gaming, a girlfriend, all the while studying some web design so that in the coming months when I release my 2 new niche ( a specific topic) blogs they will have their own “unique” (remember that haha because they might not be very well done) look and feel.
So what about this blog? Well I have a couple of ideas for it:
1. It will be my personal blog, where I will sit down and right about life and it’s many attributes.
2. This could be a good place to test out guest writers and let the community pick who stays and who goes.
3. Contests, Yes I said it, with my other 2 blogs being ad based “eventually” I hope to hold some great contests for the community. Although it may take a while I do plan on giving back.
So there you have it, expect more blogs here from now on week-to-week.
A Possible Future for Console Gaming
July 17, 2008 at 6:56 pm | In Console Gaming, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony | Leave a CommentTags: Console, Gaming, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony
Warning! This is more of an opinionated blog then usual. Created by looking at the business aspect of gaming.
Could it be possible that we will ever see Sony and Microsoft team up in the console market place? I have recently been asking myself this very question. It’s no big mystery that Nintendo is currently owning the console and hand held market with their cheap (price wise), casual gaming systems, and although they are fun for a while to many of the more hardcore gamers out there they eventually lose their flavor.
It’s no big mystery that Sony does hardware correctly while Microsoft does software and a combined effort by both companies could make the next generation gaming console a beautiful piece of machinery. Now I am not saying that either company would do this but it is possible that the 2 could join up, or someone with a lot of money and good business skills could steal away the top engineers from each company combined with some up and coming talent and create a system that could rival a cheaper Nintendo system. Now you throw in a good PR team and some innovation to the console gaming world and you have yourself a blockbuster.
It would take a lot of money for a newcomer to get this done but with gaming becoming the new media trend outselling movies and music, it is possible we could see a new company enter the field. If the video game market continues on the path of success it has enjoyed the last couple of years it is very possible we could see a new company emerge ready to do battle with the current superpowers of gaming.
I know many fan-boys out there would burn me at the stake for saying this but what you have to realize that if done right you can make a lot of money from the gaming market. Yes, many companies do listen to what their fans think but if combining departments are going to increase both companies profits it could be possible that SonySoft, MicroSony, MiSo, SoMi or even a new contender could emerge? Anything is possible if making the right amount of money is involved.
I am curious what other gamers think of this, could it really happen, could we see a new company emerge?
Microsoft Revived?!?!
July 15, 2008 at 7:18 pm | In Games, Microsoft, Square Enix, Xbox | Leave a CommentTags: E3, FF13, Microsoft, Square Enix, XBL
Have any of you been following the E3 press coverage at all? I have and I must say the last half of the year looks to be turning in Microsoft’s favor. With some great exclusives, a partnership with Netflix and a XBL reamp, I can’t wait for everything. It looks like I might be buying some brand new games once again this holiday season!
So far the most shocking moment at this year’s E3 would have to be the announcement of FF13 for the 360. Now I was waiting of to buy a PS3 just for this game and it looks like I won’t have to spend my money after all. It’s sad to see Sony losing items like this but I do wonder how much it cost Microsoft to get this deal with the other Square Enix realeases they have in the coming year.
The new avatar system seems to pull most of the controversy in Microsoft’s E3 conference from the Hardcore gamers, I for one would like something less Mii looking and something a little more realastic. Hopefully Microsoft will listen to the fans on this one and update the looks of the avatars.
If you haven’t already I would look up some E3 press coverage for the consoles and watch them. It’s great to see what it coming our way in this next year.
Time for Change

As most of you have noticed by now I have been away for a couple of
weeks now. I needed some time to think about what I wanted the “feel”
of this blog to be like, because it was feeling a bit random to me. The
blog just wasn’t exactly what I wanted it to be, so I am setting in
some changes starting today.
They are as follows:
1. As of right now I will be the only writer for this blog, and
maybe down the road I will bring in some guest writers and new staff.
2. I will be using my real name as the author and no longer the alias I have used in the past.
3. The blog will be focusing onĀ gaming news, real life, and personal encounters, giving it a less random feel.
4. I have a new idea for TWiG later on down the road, so for now I will be writing reviews for the many games I come across.
5. Last but not least I will move this blog to another host when I feel like the time is right.
I hope you all will enjoy the changes coming to Forever Real!
Later Dayz,
John
A Great Rendition

This is by far the best rendition of any of Maroon 5 songs that I have ever heard. Marie Digby does now have a recording contract and just recently launched her 1st CD on iTunes, and her very 1st music video. It just proves if you have the talent, Youtube is a great place to show your stuff.
